The Gunfitters Leather Company was started in 1987 to handcraft holsters and leather gear with a tactically sound design. Gunfitters is a one-man leather shop specializing in hard to holster firearms, and concealed carry consultation/training. We also provide tutorials, patterns, and tools to improve the leather makers craft.
Introduced to leathercraft in a grade school art class using a Tandy starter kit.
In high school I started combat pistol training with an uncle who was the range officer of the Wheaton, IL police department.
I’ve served as an officer in the USAF, and a past member of the American Society of Law Enforcement Trainers (ASLET) and 30 years as a AEMT first responder.
Served 10 years as a Wisconsin DNR Hunter Safety instructor, and NRA certified firearms instructor specializing in practical pistol concealed carry.
I helped develop the Wisconsin Concealed Carry training curriculum for the Wisconsin DOJ. Currently serving on my churches security team.
